                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING MOUNTAIN
                   VIEW AVENUE LOCATED NORTHWEST FROM MORRISON
                   SPRINGS ROAD, NORTHWEST OF U.S. HIGHWAY 27,
                   MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, UPON
                   CERTAIN CONDITIONS.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned Mountain View Avenue located northwest from 
Morrison
         Springs Road, northwest of U. S. Highway 27, more particularly
         described herein, and as shown on plat attached hereto and made 
a
         part hereof by reference:
        
                Part of the old Mountain View Avenue, a 30 foot
                wide right-of-way, beginning at the intersection of
                the northeast line of the new Mountain View Avenue
                right-of-way with the northwest line of the new
                Morrison Springs Road right-of-way, thence
                northwest some 238.73 feet with said new Mountain
                View Avenue, thence northeast some 49 feet with the
                new Mountain View Avenue right-of-way, crossing the
                old right-of-way to the northeast line thereof,
                thence southeast some 276.97 feet with the
                northeast line of the old Mountain View Avenue
                right-of-way to the northeast line of the new
                Morrison Springs Road right-of-way, thence
                southwest some 32 feet with the new Morrison
                Springs Road right-of-way, crossing the old
                Mountain View Avenue right-of-way to the new
                Mountain View Avenue right-of-way, the point of
                beginning.  Tax Map No. 108L-B-3, 4, and 5.
               
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this closure
         and abandonment is made subject to the following conditions:
        
                1. Reservation of an easement the width of the
                   right-of-way for South Central Bell for the
                   purpose of operating and maintaining its
                   facilities in said right-of-way.
               
                2. The areas reserved for utility easements must be
                   kept free and clear of all structures.
               
                3. All existing easements are retained.
               
               
              	   SECTION 3.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
